About us
Structured ecosystem for youth leadership development, advocacy influence, green enterprise growth, and sector visibility.

OUR HISTORY
The Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND), a youth-oriented organisation was established in September 2008 with the aim of promoting active youth participation in 3 main thematic areas to wit, Environment, Employment and Health.
Overtime, the organisation's interventions and mission became skewed towards environmental sustainability. At SYND, we devoted years and resources in receiving mentorship and guidance from key CSOs in Ghana.
We joined coalitions and/or platforms to obtain more knowledge in the Natural Resources & Environmental (NRE) sector while building networks with relevant state and non-state actors to aid our organisational growth aspirations.
SYND has now evolved into a youth governance and green enterprise leadership hub for Ghana's NRE Sector. It's a structured youth leadership ecosystem for:
- NRE governance influence
- Green enterprise development
- Youth employability enhancement
- Sector-wide convening
- Narrative and media amplification
With the gains and success made over the years, SYND now aims to build a stronger team with the right systems and structures not only to sustain the gains made but also to improve and demonstrate the worth of young people in environmental sustainability actions.
With over 10 years of experience in the youth leadership development, climate, and environment spaces.
Our vision
A Ghana where young people lead the sustainable governance of natural resources and ensures healthy ecosystems and resilient livelihoods for present and future generations.
Our mission
SYND is a youth-oriented environmental organization that develops and supports young leaders to influence the governance of Ghana's natural resources and environmental sector.
We nurture youth leadership through advocacy platforms, green enterprise development, institutional collaboration, and skills development, enabling young people to drive sustainable environmental governance and inclusive green economic transformation.
CORE VALUES
The principles that guide every step.
